EMBRAER AND JAZZ SIGN INVENTORY SUPPORT AGREEMENT FOR E-JETS

Embraer and Jazz Aviation sign an inventory support agreement for 25 E175 aircraft, introducing the ECIP programme in Canada to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Collaborative planning programme aims to reduce downtime across Canadian regional operations

Orlando, 22 April 2026 — Embraer and Jazz Aviation LP have signed a spare parts inventory support agreement covering Jazz’s fleet of E-Jets operating on behalf of Air Canada Express.

The agreement will support 25 Embraer E175 aircraft and marks the first implementation of Embraer’s Collaborative Inventory Planning (ECIP) programme in Canada.

DATA-DRIVEN INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

ECIP is designed as a collaborative, data-driven inventory planning system in which Embraer assumes responsibility for most spare parts investment while managing materials to improve fleet availability.

The programme provides airlines with fixed annual pricing for parts, enabling more predictable cost control, while also offering predefined lead times linked to guaranteed performance levels. Weekly ordering recommendations are generated using operational data and Embraer’s planning systems, supporting more efficient stock management.

FOCUS ON OPERATIONAL RELIABILITY

Embraer noted that the agreement reflects continued growth in its Services & Support division in North America, where the global E-Jets fleet is most concentrated.

Jazz indicated that participation in ECIP is intended to enhance operational reliability and efficiency across its regional network, supporting consistent service delivery for Air Canada Express operations.

SUPPORTING REGIONAL AVIATION OPERATIONS

The agreement highlights the increasing role of OEM-led support programmes in managing operational complexity, particularly in regional aviation where fleet utilisation and turnaround times are critical.

By integrating inventory planning with real-time operational data, such programmes aim to reduce aircraft downtime while improving cost predictability for operators.
