EMBRAER PROMOTES SAFETY AND SUSTAINABILITY IN AGRICULTURAL AVIATION AT BAHIA FARM SHOW

Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Bahia – 6 June 2025 — Embraer is reinforcing its commitment to safety and sustainability in agricultural aviation with the presence of its flagship ethanol-powered aircraft, the Ipanema 203, at the 19th edition of the Bahia Farm Show, taking place from 9 to 14 June in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Bahia.

A pioneer in the use of 100% ethanol as aviation fuel, the Ipanema 203 has become a symbol of efficiency and innovation in Brazilian agricultural aviation. With over two decades of biofuel-powered operation, the aircraft leads the market with approximately 60% share, combining robust engineering, precision spraying technology, and low operational costs.

Sany Onofre, Embraer’s Agricultural Aviation leader, commented, “The Bahia Farm Show, one of Brazil’s main agricultural fairs, is a great opportunity for us to strengthen the presence of our aircraft in a region known for its diverse types of crops, where producers are looking for the best solutions to achieve maximum productivity at the lowest production cost.”

In the last three years alone, over 180 Ipanema 203 units have been sold, reflecting continued confidence from rural producers. The aircraft offers an extensive range of precision tools and equipment, enabling sustainable, high-volume spraying—covering over 200 hectares per hour—with minimal soil impact and reduced pest spread. These features can translate to yield increases of up to 15 bags more per hectare.

Beyond showcasing its aircraft, Embraer is driving safety awareness at the event. A comprehensive agenda includes discussions on preventive inspections, the creation of safe operating environments, and best practices for pilots, mechanics, and operators. Significantly, 100% of agricultural pilot training programmes in Brazil now include lectures by the Ipanema customer support team, embedding a culture of safety from the very beginning of a pilot’s career.

By combining cutting-edge biofuel technology with a firm emphasis on safety and efficiency, Embraer continues to raise the standard in agricultural aviation.
