EMIRATES SKYCARGO LAUNCHES AI TECH TO MOVE AI INFRASTRUCTURE WORLDWIDE

The dedicated logistics product combines priority loading, specialised handling and proactive shipment monitoring for AI server racks, semiconductors, GPUs and other critical hardware.

Emirates SkyCargo has launched AI Tech, a dedicated product designed to help customers move critical and sensitive AI infrastructure safely and on time, the company said in Dubai on 4 November 2026. Tailored for AI server racks, semiconductors, GPUs, capital equipment and other critical hardware, the product combines priority loading, specialised handling and proactive shipment monitoring through Emirates SkyCargo’s command centre in Dubai to keep deployment schedules on track.

Emirates SkyCargo says the increasing sophistication of computing and processing systems, together with accelerating AI adoption, has made the movement of technology equipment increasingly complex, with large-scale deployments often involving high-value cargo, compressed timelines and specialised handling requirements. AI Tech is available across Emirates SkyCargo’s global network for most AI-related cargo, including semiconductors, chips and server racks; for highly specialised manufacturing equipment, station capability assessments are conducted in advance to ensure shipment requirements can be safely accommodated.

“Behind every AI breakthrough is physical infrastructure that needs to arrive safely and on time. AI Tech is designed to give customers confidence that their critical equipment will move seamlessly across our network, supported by operational oversight and proactive communication. In July alone, we transported more than 700 tonnes of AI infrastructure across our global network, and demand has continued to grow. As this sector expands, our ambition is to become the carrier of choice for companies operating across the AI ecosystem,” said Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates SkyCargo.

KEY FEATURES

Emirates SkyCargo says AI Tech’s features include globally standardised handling procedures to maintain equipment orientation and minimise damage risk, priority loading and scheduling for time-critical deployments, airport-to-airport shipment visibility with milestone updates monitored through its Dubai command centre, proactive customer communication throughout the shipment journey, and specialist project cargo support for oversized and heavy cargo. By March 2027, the airline says it will operate a fleet of 23 dedicated freighters providing maindeck capacity for tall and dense server racks often weighing more than 3.5 tonnes, in addition to capacity on its wide-body passenger aircraft.
