Eve Air Mobility has completed 50 successful test flights of its full-scale engineering prototype, marking a key development milestone as the company progresses toward certification of its eVTOL aircraft.
FLIGHT TEST PROGRAMME GAINS MOMENTUM
Eve Air Mobility has achieved 50 successful flights with its full-scale engineering prototype, accumulating more than two hours of flight time since its first flight in December 2025.
Â
The test campaign is generating high-fidelity data to support the development and validation of aircraft performance, systems behaviour, and operational characteristics.
Â
Â
DATA-DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT APPROACH
The ongoing flight tests are providing critical insights into key areas including:
- Energy management
- Controllability and stability
- Noise and vibration characteristics
- Progressive expansion of the flight envelope
These evaluations are expected to lead to full transition flight testing later in 2026.
Â
Â
PROGRESSION TOWARDS CERTIFICATION
The data gathered from the engineering prototype will inform the development of conforming prototypes, which are expected to enter production this year.
Â
Eve plans to produce six conforming aircraft to support its certification campaign with Brazil’s civil aviation authority, ANAC, as the programme moves toward commercial readiness.
Â
Â
INTEGRATED URBAN AIR MOBILITY STRATEGY
Eve’s development approach combines aircraft design with broader ecosystem planning, including:
- Operational frameworks for urban air mobility
- Integration with airspace management systems
- Support for vertiport and infrastructure development
This integrated model reflects the company’s focus on enabling scalable urban air mobility operations beyond the aircraft itself.
Â
Â
PROGRAMME POSITIONING WITHIN ADVANCED AIR MOBILITY
Backed by Embraer’s aerospace expertise, Eve continues to position its programme within the emerging advanced air mobility sector.
Â
The current phase of testing represents a transition from early prototype validation towards structured certification and operational deployment.
