In a momentous occasion heralding ambitions to extend maintenance support across the Asia-Pacific region, ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, hosted a grand opening ceremony for its state-of-the-art MRO facility at Subang Airport.

Spanning an impressive 149,500 square feet, the facility now stands as Malaysia’s largest business aviation MRO center, representing a significant expansion from its predecessor. Designed to cater to business jet operators from across Asia, the facility was inaugurated amidst esteemed guests including YB Anthony Loke, Malaysia’s Minister of Transport; Jean Kayanakis, senior vice president of worldwide Falcon customer service and service center network at Dassault Aviation; and Graeme Duckworth, president of ExecuJet MRO Services Group.

“This momentous opening signifies a crucial milestone for ExecuJet MRO Services’ regional footprint,” remarked Duckworth. “Our strategic focus is on enhancing support for operators of various aircraft brands across the region, and the Subang facility plays a pivotal role in realising this objective.”

Investing significantly in internationally certified training for its personnel, ExecuJet MRO Services boasts the capability to undertake line and heavy maintenance on Falcon, Bombardier, and Gulfstream aircraft registered with regional civil aviation authorities, as well as with the FAA and EASA. The facility also incorporates new training space at Subang, facilitating the necessary authorizations and fostering workforce expansion. Ivan Lim, Regional Vice President for Asia at ExecuJet MRO Services, disclosed plans to augment the Subang workforce from 84 to 100 by year-end, with further personnel additions anticipated over the next five years.

For Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, the ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia facility represents a cornerstone amidst various development initiatives under the Subang Airport Regeneration Plan (SARP). Regarded as a pivotal advancement within the plan’s business aviation sector, SARP program managers aspire to position Subang Airport as a prominent regional hub for business aviation.
