GE AEROSPACE’S FLIGHTPULSE APP REACHES 60,000 PILOT USERS

GE Aerospace’s FlightPulse App continues its rapid ascent in popularity among commercial and business jet pilots, with user numbers soaring to 60,000—an increase of 156% since 2022. The App is now in use by 29 airlines and 49 business jet operators, with an estimated 15–20% of airline pilots worldwide having installed it as part of their electronic flight bag (EFB).

Developed by GE Aerospace’s Software as a Service team, FlightPulse was designed by pilots for pilots. The App features pre- and post-flight modules that enhance flight preparation and analysis—from pre-departure planning through to landing. Its interface includes a realistic 3D animation module that mirrors the flight deck experience, helping pilots visualise and review their performance.

Andrew Coleman, President and General Manager of GE Aerospace’s Software as a Service, said the App has become “one of those ‘must have’ tools” for modern pilots. “FlightPulse gives pilots insight into their own flight data while drawing on anonymised safety data from across the industry to help them fly safer,” he explained.

Coleman noted that pilots are using the App to improve takeoffs, achieve more stable approaches, and optimise landing distances—all key elements for safer operations. “FlightPulse provides the insights that pilots care about most, and that passengers are most attuned to when flying,” he added. “From takeoff to landing, it helps pilots benchmark their performance against industry standards and training guidance.”

Daily engagement with the App is strong, with approximately 9,000 pilots actively using FlightPulse at any given time. Coleman said this reflects a broader industry shift towards data-driven safety and efficiency. “The soaring growth of FlightPulse is a strong indicator of how the aerospace industry has turned the corner on how we view data. The trust we’re building through secure and anonymised data sharing is enabling software platforms like FlightPulse to enhance flight safety and operational performance across the board.”
