KEVIN WANG TAKES TAIWAN HELM TO DRIVE GGG GROWTH
Global GSA Group (GGG) has appointed Kevin Wang as Managing Director for Taiwan, with an ambition to position the Taiwan operation among the region’s most influential and trusted GSSA businesses. Alongside expanding airline partnerships, Wang aims to build a professional, proactive and commercially focused team combining global resources with local insight. “Kevin brings extensive airline experience and a strong understanding of the local market, which will be key as we continue to develop our presence in Taiwan,” said Aytekin Saray, CEO of Global GSA Group. “His appointment reflects our approach to growth: combining the strength of our global network with experienced local leadership to create greater commercial value for our airline partners.” Wang said: “We want international capability and Taiwanese expertise to work seamlessly together, giving carriers a responsive commercial partner equipped to deliver sustained success across the market. After many years in the air cargo industry, I wanted to take on a different perspective and use my experience to help more airlines develop their cargo business in Taiwan and create greater commercial value, rather than serving only a single airline.”
THIRTY YEARS IN THE SEAT, AND A MARKET READ ON TAIWAN’S CARGO MIX
As Managing Director, Wang takes responsibility for overall management, operational performance, business development and full profit-and-loss accountability, leading the local team, developing airline partnerships and strengthening relationships with freight forwarders and key customers. His 30 years of airline experience covers headquarters responsibilities and overseas management roles in Dallas, Manila, Bangkok and Xiamen, spanning cargo sales, commercial management, revenue management, network planning and operations. “Taiwan’s importance to global high-tech manufacturing provides considerable air cargo potential,” Wang said. “Semiconductors, including ICs and wafers, AI servers, server racks, GPUs, PCBs, drones, automotive parts, precision equipment and premium seasonal fruit continue to support export demand and reinforce Taiwan’s role in international supply chains.” Global GSA Group was founded in 1995 by Ismail Durmaz in Amsterdam.
