Gulfstream Aerospace has once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation and sustainability, announcing two new city-pair speed records set by the Gulfstream G700 en route to the 2025 International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget.
On Friday, 13 June, the ultralong-range G700 completed a transcontinental flight from Teterboro, New Jersey, to San Francisco, covering 2,272 nautical miles (4,208 km) in just 4 hours and 57 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.91. The aircraft then continued its journey across the Atlantic, flying from San Francisco to Paris, a distance of 4,947 nm (9,162 km), in 9 hours and 26 minutes — again cruising at Mach 0.91.
Both record-setting flights were powered by sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and will be awarded Sustainable Wings accreditation by the National Aeronautic Association (NAA).
“Recognition from our partners at the NAA and these latest record-breaking flights further demonstrate Gulfstream’s industry-leading commitment to sustainability,” said Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream. “We are excited for the G700 and our award-winning Gulfstream G600 to return to the International Paris Air Show this year and look forward to showcasing the compelling combination of advanced technology, performance and comfort as increased demand for our next-generation aircraft continues in Europe.”
The G700 is equipped with Gulfstream’s most advanced suite of technology and performance enhancements, including the powerful Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, a Gulfstream-designed aerodynamic wing, and high-speed winglet. The aircraft also features a dual head-up display with Gulfstream’s Combined Vision System (CVS), integrating Enhanced and Synthetic Vision Systems for enhanced pilot situational awareness.
With over 80 city-pair speed records already to its name, the G700 continues to set the bar for performance in business aviation. It boasts the industry’s most spacious cabin, complete with 100% fresh air, 20 Gulfstream panoramic oval windows, and the lowest cabin altitude in its class.
The G700 and G600 will be on static display at Le Bourget from 16–19 June, as part of Gulfstream’s continued presence at one of the world’s premier aerospace events.
