Gulfstream’s G800 sets its eighth city-pair speed record on a flight from Phuket to Dubai ahead of the Dubai Airshow, highlighting the aircraft’s long-range performance and adding to the company’s 760+ global speed records.
Savannah, Ga., 17 November 2025 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has announced that its recently certified ultralong-range Gulfstream G800 has achieved its eighth city-pair speed record, set during its arrival flight to the Dubai Airshow 2025. The accomplishment further reinforces the aircraft’s performance capabilities across long-range missions.
The latest record was achieved on a sector from Phuket, Thailand, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, completed in 5 hours and 38 minutes. This milestone joins seven other new G800 records, including Miami to Riyadh in 12 hours and 33 minutes, and Florence to Savannah in 9 hours and 33 minutes. Across the fleet, Gulfstream aircraft have now accumulated more than 760 confirmed city-pair speed records.
“Setting eight speed records this quickly following its August entry into service is a powerful testament to the tremendous capabilities of this aircraft,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “We are already seeing overwhelming interest and demand for the G800 and are pleased to be showcasing it in Dubai this week. The Middle East continues to be a strong region for Gulfstream, and we are looking forward to meeting with our customers as well as prospective customers.”
The G800 appears at the Dubai Airshow alongside the Gulfstream G700, which has now surpassed 90 city-pair speed records. Recent G700 achievements include Dubai to Sydney in 12 hours and 50 minutes; Jakarta to Lagos in 12 hours and 41 minutes; Abu Dhabi to London in 7 hours and 48 minutes; and Dubai to Hong Kong in 6 hours and 30 minutes.
The Gulfstream G800 is capable of 8,200 nautical miles (15,186 km) at Mach 0.85 and 7,000 nm (12,964 km) at Mach 0.90, positioning it as the longest-range aircraft in Gulfstream’s portfolio. Key cabin features include a low cabin altitude of 2,840 feet (866 metres) at 41,000 feet, 100% fresh air, a plasma ionisation air purification system, and 16 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows. The cabin can be configured with up to four living areas or three living areas plus a crew compartment.
The G700 offers a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935, a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90, and the industry’s most spacious cabin, illuminated by 20 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows. The performance of both the G700 and G800 is enabled by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and Gulfstream’s advanced aerodynamic wing and winglet design.
