HONG KONG AIRLINES “SERVE WITH HEART” INITIATIVE ELEVATES TRAVEL EXPERIENCE

HONG KONG, 8 May 2025– Hong Kong Airlines is stepping up its game with an ambitious suite of service enhancements designed to elevate passenger experience both in the air and on the ground. Under the banner “We Serve with Heart,” the airline’s latest upgrade programme blends authentic Hong Kong character with international service standards, reinforcing its transformation from a regional hub carrier to a global full-service airline.

“At Hong Kong Airlines, our commitment to ‘Serve with Heart’ represents a pivotal step in our mission to redefine full-service travel through authentic Hong Kong hospitality,” said Yan Bo, Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines. “By infusing local cultural elements into every journey touchpoint — from Michelin Cantonese cuisine to beloved local street food — we are transforming our city’s unique charm into a globally recognised signature.”

Among the headline improvements is a redefined baggage policy effective from 7 May. Economy Class travellers now benefit from a 23kg checked baggage allowance, while Business Class passengers enjoy up to 64kg across two pieces, alongside increased cabin baggage limits.

Inflight dining has also received a significant uplift. Business Class passengers will savour three exclusive Cantonese dishes created with Michelin-starred Ming Court, while Economy Class meals celebrate Hong Kong street food favourites. Passengers seated in Economy First on select routes can look forward to upgraded meal service and added legroom.

The airline’s flagship “Club Autus” lounge at Hong Kong International Airport has undergone a transformation through a new partnership with Plaza Premium Group. Guests can now enjoy freshly prepared local delicacies, exclusive welcome drinks by champion mixologist Leo Ko, and revitalising zones equipped with massage chairs and calming fragrance mists by luxury brand THANN.

Online check-in has been made more flexible, with expanded complimentary seat selection and guaranteed adjacent seating for families travelling with children under 12.

Breaking new ground, Hong Kong Airlines has introduced the city’s first in-cabin pet travel service, allowing passengers to fly alongside their pets on select routes to Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya — a move that underscores the carrier’s drive to create unforgettable and personalised travel experiences.

With its upgraded offering and expanding long-haul routes to Vancouver and Sydney, Hong Kong Airlines is positioning itself as a key player connecting China with the world, while delivering a richer, more comfortable journey for every traveller.
