KlasJet has signed an ACMI agreement with Nigeria’s largest airline, Air Peace, providing a Boeing 737-800 to support fleet expansion amid rapid West African aviation growth.
KlasJet, a private corporate VIP charter company and ACMI leasing service provider, has signed a new agreement with Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline, further strengthening capacity in one of Africa’s fastest-growing aviation markets.
Under the contract, KlasJet will provide Air Peace with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The dual-configured aircraft will support both scheduled passenger services and charter operations, enabling the airline to respond more efficiently to operational demand while maintaining fleet flexibility.
Air Peace operates one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the region, comprising Boeing 737s, Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, and wide-body Boeing 777s deployed on long-haul routes. The airline currently operates 29 aircraft serving 20 destinations, underscoring its role as a key player in Nigeria’s domestic and regional aviation landscape.
The agreement reflects the rapid growth of aviation across Nigeria and West Africa. According to IATA, air traffic in Africa is estimated to grow by 7 per cent in 2025 and a further 6 per cent in 2026, with Central and West Africa identified among the continent’s fastest-growing subregions.
Augustinas Riškus, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer at KlasJet, notes that Nigeria in particular offers strong potential for ACMI providers. Nigeria’s economy is among the fastest-growing in Africa, with the aviation sector contributing USD 2.5 billion to national GDP and supporting approximately 217,000 jobs.
Riškus says the ACMI model is well suited to the African market, allowing airlines to test new routes and expand fleets without the financial burden of aircraft ownership. He adds that ACMI solutions can help carriers improve profitability by an estimated two to three percentage points. As the most populous country on the continent, Nigeria presents significant long-term opportunities, and KlasJet aims to continue expanding its regional presence while supporting Air Peace’s growth in future seasons.
From the airline’s perspective, the partnership aligns with broader regional development trends. Air Peace Chief Operating Officer Oluwatoyin Olajide highlights that both the airline and the West African aviation market are entering a critical phase of rapid development, where reliable and productive partnerships are essential to ensuring sustainable growth.
She notes that Nigeria and neighbouring countries are transforming into economic powerhouses, with aviation playing a central role in this process. As the region’s leading airline, Air Peace has ambitious expansion plans and views the aircraft leasing model as a strategic tool that provides the flexibility required for measured and sustainable growth.
KlasJet operates as a private corporate VIP charter company and ACMI leasing service provider, specialising in bespoke group flights worldwide. The airline operates a fleet of uniquely designed aircraft based in Vilnius, Lithuania, as well as from airports across Western and Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
