Ten-year agreement supports expansion of air medical capabilities across western United States and Hawaii.
Life Flight Network has signed a ten-year agreement and placed a firm order for twelve Pilatus PC-12 PRO aircraft, with additional options secured for future fleet expansion. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027.
The aircraft will be configured specifically for aeromedical missions and are intended to support the organisation’s long-term development of advanced air medical services.
AIR MEDICAL FLEET EXPANSION
Life Flight Network, the largest not-for-profit air medical transport provider in the United States, announced the agreement for twelve turnkey medevac-configured PC-12 PRO aircraft.
The aircraft will be delivered by Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd through its Broomfield-based operation and will be equipped for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) level care and patient transport.
Life Flight Network will also become the launch customer in the United States for the PC-12 PRO fitted with an aeromedical interior.
LONG-TERM INVESTMENT IN CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT
Founded nearly fifty years ago, Life Flight Network provides rapid response air medical transport across a broad operating area that includes the Pacific Northwest, Intermountain West and Hawaii.
According to the organisation, the addition of the PC-12 PRO will support the modernisation of its fleet and strengthen its ability to deliver safe and efficient transport across regions that include remote and geographically challenging terrain.
Ben Clayton, Chief Executive Officer of Life Flight Network, said the agreement represents a significant step for the organisation’s operational development and its commitment to investing in aircraft that enhance patient care and operational safety.
PC-12 PRO DESIGNED FOR MULTI-MISSION OPERATIONS
The PC-12 PRO is a single-engine turboprop designed for a range of missions including special operations, passenger transport and medical evacuation.
The aircraft is equipped with the Garmin G3000 Prime avionics system and safety-enhancing features such as Safety Autoland. The platform’s operational versatility and ability to access shorter or more remote runways are among the factors supporting its use in air medical roles.
Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd noted that the aircraft’s integrated avionics and US-designed medical interior provide operational flexibility while supporting safety and mission readiness for air medical operators.
Deliveries scheduled to begin in 2027 will support Life Flight Network’s long-term service expansion under the new agreement.
