NAKED PASSENGER FORCES VIRGIN AUSTRALIA FLIGHT TO TURN BACK

In an unprecedented mid-air incident, Virgin Australia flight VA696 was cruising at 31,000 feet when a male passenger, in an unexpected turn of events, stripped naked and ran down the aisle. The incident escalated when the man collided with a flight attendant and proceeded to the cockpit, banging on the door.

Fellow passengers recounted the scene, noting that a male business class passenger initially intervened, followed by two air marshals who managed to restrain and handcuff the unruly individual.

The flight, which had departed from Perth at 19:20 local time en route to Melbourne, had been in the air for only about thirty minutes when the disturbance occurred, forcing the plane to return to Perth.

Upon landing, the Australian Federal Police arrested the man and transported him to a nearby hospital for reasons that remain unclear. It was at the medical facility where formal charges were finalized against him.

The streaker is set to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on June 14. Until his court appearance, he has been issued a prison uniform.
