Delegates from more than 120 countries and over 240 carriers are expected at Messe Frankfurt from 21 to 23 October, with Aviation-Event taking on the role of Official Media Partner for the event.
Routes World 2026, the global aviation industry’s annual route development and networking event, is set to open at Messe Frankfurt in Darmstadt, Germany, from 21 to 23 October 2026, organised by Informa’s Air Transport Events division. Aviation-Event, an international aviation media and conference platform, announced on 19 October 2026 that it is supporting the event as Official Media Partner, providing editorial coverage of the discussions and developments emerging from Frankfurt for its international aviation audience.
The event is expected to draw delegates from more than 120 countries and representatives from over 240 carriers, providing a platform for airlines, airports and destinations to develop new air services and strengthen existing networks.
“With delegates from more than 120 countries, including representatives from over 240 carriers, expected to attend, the event provides a vital platform for airlines, airports and destinations to strengthen partnerships, unlock new commercial opportunities and accelerate global connectivity,” said Steven Small, Vice President, Air Transport Events, Informa.
Small said the event’s value extends beyond individual route negotiations, in an industry facing capacity constraints, operational disruption and pressure to balance growth with sustainability. “Throughout its history, aviation has demonstrated extraordinary resilience,” he said. “This resilience is underpinned by collaboration, shared ambition and the relationships that connect our industry. Routes World has and continues to be the environment in which the global route development community can meet and build partnerships that define the world’s future air networks.”
“By bringing together the decision-makers responsible for developing global air services, we create opportunities that extend far beyond these three days, supporting economic development, enabling tourism and connecting communities around the world,” Small added.
As Official Media Partner, Aviation-Event said it will cover Routes World 2026 through interviews, editorial reporting and digital communication. “Routes World is where the people shaping tomorrow’s air connectivity come together,” said Marcel Riwalsky, Founder and CEO, Aviation-Event. “Our role is to bring their perspectives, decisions and industry insights to a wider international audience.”
Note: Aviation-Event is a brand of DA! GmbH, describing itself as a media hub for the aviation industry connecting airports, airlines, tourism authorities and industry suppliers. Readers can find the Routes World 2026 conference programme at routesonline.com.
