STANDARDAERO SELECTED BY ROBINSON AS PREFERRED MRO PROVIDER FOR R66 RR300 ENGINES

StandardAero has been selected by Robinson Helicopter Company as preferred MRO provider for R66 helicopters powered by Rolls-Royce RR300 engines.

Agreement supports global R66 fleet

StandardAero has been selected by Robinson Helicopter Company as the preferred maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider for the global fleet of R66 helicopters powered by Rolls-Royce RR300 engines.

The agreement provides R66 operators with a Robinson-recommended MRO solution aimed at reducing turnaround times and lowering maintenance costs. It also secures dedicated shop capacity and establishes defined turnaround time commitments to minimise operational downtime.

Expanded repair capability and support

StandardAero currently holds approval for 150 component repairs on the RR300 engine and is developing a further 180 repairs to reduce reliance on component replacement and associated costs.

The company stated that its experience on the Rolls-Royce M250 engine has supported the expansion of RR300 repair capabilities. An exchange pool has also been established to support time-critical maintenance requirements and accelerate return-to-service.

Operational focus on predictability and cost control

Robinson Helicopter Company indicated that the agreement addresses key operational challenges faced by R66 operators, particularly in relation to overhaul costs and turnaround times.

The introduction of defined timelines for 2,000-hour and 4,000-hour periodic maintenance inspections (PMI) is intended to provide greater predictability for operators managing fleet availability and operational planning.

Global support network aligned to demand

The collaboration integrates demand forecasting and material planning to improve parts availability and service readiness.

Support will be delivered through StandardAero facilities in Winnipeg and Richmond in Canada, Concord in the United States, and Hampshire in the United Kingdom, providing regional coverage for operators.

Lifecycle support and fleet reliability

The agreement aligns maintenance capacity with lifecycle support requirements, with both companies aiming to provide R66 operators with improved predictability, reduced downtime, and streamlined technical oversight of engine assets.
