Trig Avionics, a Dynon company, introduces the TT23 — a compact, certified Class 1 transponder offering ADS-B Out capability and optional integrated GPS for global compliance and enhanced flight safety.
November 13, 2025 – Trig Avionics, a Dynon company, today announced the launch of the TT23, the next generation of its compact transponder line. The new unit is smaller and up to 15 percent lighter than previous models, reducing weight and space requirements while adding new capabilities for pilots around the world.
The TT23 is a fully certified Class 1, Mode S transponder with ADS-B Out, suitable for both VFR and IFR flight operations. Its compact form factor is designed for aircraft with limited panel space, offering maximum efficiency without compromising performance.
The transponder is available in two versions:
- TT23G – This model features an integrated GPS receiver, providing a certified ADS-B Out solution. The TT23G is particularly suited to experimental and light sport aircraft in the United States that must meet ADS-B Out requirements. In markets where ADS-B equipage is voluntary, the integrated GPS also provides enhanced safety and airspace visibility.
- TT23 – This model does not include an internal GPS receiver and is intended for aircraft that already have a compatible GPS position source installed. It can be used as an ADS-B Out solution for type-certificated aircraft in the United States and will be supported by an upcoming STC for integration with popular third-party GPS navigators, as well as Trig’s TN70 Remote position source. For operators not intending to equip with ADS-B Out, the TT23 remains a high-quality, modern transponder suitable for a wide range of aircraft types.
The TT23 continues Trig’s reputation for reliability, building on the success of the earlier TT21 and TT22 models. It retains the same intuitive, pilot-friendly controls while introducing a built-in altitude encoder and a bright, easy-to-read LCD screen for clear visibility and dependable operation.
“The new TT23 transponder takes our compact avionics product line up a notch,” said Andy Davis, CEO of Trig Avionics. “By including our compliant ADS-B position source in a package that is even smaller and lighter than the previous transponder, we have created a complete solution that is simple to install and easy to use.”
The TT23 and TT23G are available now through Approved Trig Dealers worldwide.
