TRUENOORD DELIVERS THREE AIRBUS A220S TO BREEZE AIRWAYS

TrueNoord delivers three Airbus A220 aircraft to Breeze Airways, marking its first Airbus deal and supporting regional fleet expansion.

Lease agreement marks entry into Airbus portfolio for regional lessor

FLEET EXPANSION

AMSTERDAM / DUBLIN / LONDON / SINGAPORE — TrueNoord has delivered three factory-new Airbus A220-300 aircraft to Breeze Airways under a long-term sale-and-leaseback agreement.

The transaction represents TrueNoord’s first Airbus aircraft acquisition and the largest aircraft type to be added to its portfolio to date. All three aircraft were delivered in February 2026.

STRATEGIC POSITIONING

The A220 is central to Breeze Airways’ fleet strategy, supporting a transition towards a single-type operation and enabling expansion across underserved regional markets.

The aircraft’s seat capacity and operating economics allow the airline to operate routes between smaller cities that may not be viable with larger narrowbody aircraft.

PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT

For TrueNoord, the delivery reflects a shift towards larger, next-generation aircraft, complementing its existing focus on regional jets and turboprops.

The addition of the A220 aligns with the lessor’s broader strategy to invest in fuel-efficient aircraft in the 100–150 seat category, supporting long-term operational efficiency for airline partners.

REGIONAL MARKET DYNAMICS

The transaction highlights a growing trend in the Americas, where airlines are deploying right-sized aircraft to expand networks and improve route economics.

Breeze Airways currently operates across 80+ cities in the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean, focusing on point-to-point connectivity in under-served markets.
