Lockheed Martin, a global leader in aerospace and defence, has announced Kevin O’Connor as its new Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, effective January 13, 2025. O’Connor succeeds Maryanne Lavan, who plans to retire after an exceptional 34-year career with the corporation.
A Proven Leader for the Future
Kevin O’Connor brings over 25 years of legal and governance experience from both government and private sectors. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Carrier, where he oversaw legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs on a global scale. His distinguished career also includes roles as Chief Legal Officer at Point72, Vice President of Global Ethics & Compliance at UTC, and a partner at Bracewell LLP.
O’Connor’s extensive government experience includes serving as U.S. Attorney for Connecticut, Associate Attorney General of the United States, and a senior official at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
