JAPAN AIRLINES RENEWS POOL PROGRAM AGREEMENT WITH EMBRAER TO SUPPORT E-JET OPERATIONS

Embraer and Japan Airlines (JAL) have extended their partnership through a multi-year agreement under Embraer’s Pool Program, providing maintenance, repair and spare-parts support for the airline’s fleet of 32 E170 and E190 aircraft. The agreement covers a wide range of repairable components and includes inventory held close to JAL’s operations for rapid access to critical parts. Embraer’s E-Jets have played an integral role in J-Air’s fleet, supporting regional connectivity across Japan, since 2008, and JAL reports a six-month E-Jets service reliability average of 99.8 percent. “Through this contract renewal with Embraer, we reinforce our commitment to securing high-quality components and, above all, ensuring the absolute safety of our flight operations,” said Yuta Kawaguchi, Executive Officer, Vice President, JAL Engineering Co. EMBRAER’S REGIONAL SUPPORT NETWORK ACROSS ASIA-PACIFIC

Embraer has operated in the Asia-Pacific region for nearly five decades, since its first aircraft entered service there in 1978, and says more than fifteen airlines across seven countries in the region currently operate E-Jets.
