Dassault Aviation is set to make a significant impact at the European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE 2024) in Geneva, showcasing its full lineup of business jets. The highlight of this year’s exhibit includes the newly operational Falcon 6X and a full-scale mockup of the highly anticipated Falcon 10X, currently under development.
Falcon 6X Makes EBACE Debut
The Falcon 6X, which entered service in November, will make its first appearance at EBACE. This aircraft boasts a next-generation digital flight control system that enhances handling precision and turbulence damping. With a cabin that is both taller and wider than any of its competitors, the 6X can also navigate small and challenging airports, such as Switzerland’s Saanen-Gstaad, with its 3,400-foot runway.
“The 6X offers an incomparable passenger experience and impressive reliability for an aircraft just entering service,” said Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation. Since its debut, the first production 6X has been on a world tour, amassing over 500 flight hours and performing up to four two-hour demonstration flights daily. The aircraft has surpassed its performance expectations, flying more than 5,500 nautical miles non-stop from Paris to São Paulo. Remarkably, it has not missed a single demo flight and has required only routine maintenance.
Joining the 6X in the static display area are the ultra-long-range 6,450 nm Falcon 8X and Dassault’s popular widebody, the 4,000 nm Falcon 2000LXS.
Falcon 10X Mockup on Display
Inside the exhibit hall, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a full-scale mockup of the Falcon 10X, featuring a 53-foot-long cabin and a state-of-the-art flight deck. Set to become the largest purpose-built business jet upon its certification in 2027, the 10X will introduce numerous safety features, including touchscreens, a single-lever Smart Throttle, and an automatic recovery mode.
The major structural components of the 10X—wings, fuselage, and empennage sections—have already been produced across France, with final assembly slated to begin later this year at Dassault’s Bordeaux-Mérignac facility. The aircraft’s engine, the Rolls Royce Pearl 10X, has commenced flight testing on a 747 testbed and successfully operated on 100% sustainable aviation fuel last year.
Expanding and Modernising Service Network
Dassault Customer Service representatives will be present at EBACE to discuss extensive inspection and upgrade services available at its 60 service centers worldwide. This month, Dassault inaugurated a new service center at Catarina Executive Airport near São Paulo, Brazil, replacing a smaller facility in Sorocaba. In April, Dassault’s subsidiary, ExecuJet, opened a 150,000-square-foot facility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, enhancing support for Asia-Pacific operators. This followed the launch of a 163,000-square-foot ExecuJet MRO complex in Dubai, aimed at serving the Middle East.
