Diamond Aircraft appoints AirMax Patrol as exclusive U.S. distributor for the DA62 MPP, targeting airborne law enforcement and special mission operators.
Partnership targets law enforcement and special mission operators across the United States
Diamond Aircraft has appointed AirMax Patrol LLC as the exclusive United States distributor for the DA62 MPP (Multi-Purpose Platform), strengthening its presence in the airborne law enforcement and special mission aviation sector.
Based in Reno, Nevada, AirMax Patrol will lead sales and mission integration of the DA62 MPP for airborne law enforcement agencies, search and rescue operators, and aerial survey clients across the U.S.
FOCUS ON SPECIAL MISSION OPERATIONS
The DA62 MPP is positioned as a multi-role platform designed for surveillance and public safety operations. The aircraft combines endurance, payload capacity, and mission system integration capability, supported by Jet-A engines and a modular cabin suited to sensor installations.
The partnership brings together Diamond Aircraft’s special mission platform with AirMax Patrol’s operational experience in airborne law enforcement, including mission integration and procurement support.
OPERATIONAL AND PROCUREMENT EXPERTISE
AirMax Patrol was founded by John Nielsen, a former California Highway Patrol pilot with over 14,000 flight hours and more than three decades of operational experience, including 24 years in airborne law enforcement operations.
The company also brings financial structuring capability to the partnership, supporting agencies with procurement models that may include long-term financing and access to grant funding mechanisms within the U.S. public sector.
POSITIONING IN THE U.S. MARKET
The appointment reflects a targeted approach to the U.S. special mission aviation market, where procurement processes, operational requirements, and mission integration demand specialised expertise.
According to Diamond Aircraft, the collaboration aligns the DA62 MPP platform with a distributor experienced in both operational deployment and public-sector acquisition frameworks.
