Center Air Pilot Academy orders 11 Tecnam aircraft at AERO 2026, expanding its training fleet with P-Mentor and P2006T NG platforms.
Danish ATO adds 11 aircraft following continued operational partnership
Center Air Pilot Academy has placed a new aircraft order with Tecnam at AERO Friedrichshafen 2026, confirming the acquisition of ten P-Mentor trainers and one P2006T NG twin-engine aircraft as part of an ongoing fleet expansion strategy.
The agreement builds on a partnership established in 2022 and expanded in 2024, reflecting continued operational alignment between the training organisation and the manufacturer.
FLEET DEVELOPMENT FOR TRAINING CONTINUITY
The combined acquisition of single- and twin-engine aircraft is intended to support an integrated training pathway, aligning early-stage flight training with multi-engine progression.
The Tecnam P-Mentor, a two-seat IFR-certified trainer under EASA CS-23 standards, is equipped with a Garmin G3X glass cockpit and powered by a Rotax 912iSc engine, supporting lower fuel consumption and emissions for instrument training operations.
The P2006T NG complements the fleet by providing a multi-engine training platform designed to prepare cadets for more advanced operational environments, including commercial aviation pathways.
OPERATIONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL POSITIONING
The expansion reflects a broader trend within flight training organisations to balance operational efficiency with environmental considerations. The selected aircraft types are positioned to offer reduced operating costs while maintaining compatibility with modern cockpit environments.
By standardising elements of the training fleet, Center Air Pilot Academy aims to create continuity between ab-initio training and airline-oriented procedures.
PARTNERSHIP CONTINUITY
According to Tecnam, the order reflects sustained confidence in the aircraft’s operational performance and suitability for structured training programmes.
Center Air Pilot Academy operates from Roskilde Airport in Denmark and focuses on integrated pilot training programmes aligned with airline standards.
