EMBRAER SHOWCASES KC-390 MILLENNIUM TANKER AT ARSAG 2025

Brazilian Airlifter Gains Ground Among NATO Allies and Eyes U.S. Market.

Las Vegas, USA, 29 April 2025 – Embraer Defence & Security has taken centre stage at the 47th Aerial Refuelling Systems Advisory Group (ARSAG) conference in Las Vegas, presenting its KC-390 Millennium tanker and air-lifter to an audience of U.S. and allied military leaders.

Running from April 29 to May 1, ARSAG brings together key players from the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and NATO nations to share best practices in aerial refueling and joint military operations. Embraer’s participation highlights its growing role in the global defence arena.

Opening the event, Embraer Defense & Security President and CEO Bosco da Costa Junior joined the Senior Industry Panel alongside U.S. Air Force Retired Lieutenant General John B. Sams, Jr., and Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems’ Richard J. Sullivan, to discuss solutions to critical refueling challenges.

Adding to its strong showing, Embraer has one KC-390 Millennium operated by the Brazilian Air Force on display at Atlantic Aviation FBO, adjacent to Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport.

“We’re very happy to participate at ARSAG this year and for the opportunity to address how Embraer and the KC-390 Millennium are ready to support the U.S. Department of Defence to overcome some of the critical air refuelling challenges facing the U.S. and allied partner nations worldwide,” said da Costa Junior. “The KC-390 is currently the best aircraft in its category, able to perform the most demanding missions under the most difficult scenarios, including Aerial Refuelling and Agile Combat Employment. That is why we are confident the KC-390 fits the needs of the U.S. Armed Forces.”

Designed and built in the 21st century, the KC-390 Millennium offers multi-mission capability, interoperability, and superior productivity with low operational costs. Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of mission profiles, from cargo delivery to aerial refueling.

The aircraft has gained traction among NATO members and allies as a modernisation solution for air forces seeking enhanced capability and interoperability. Already in service with Brazil, Portugal, and Hungary, the KC-390 has also been ordered by the Netherlands, Austria, and the Czech Republic, while Sweden and Slovakia have recently selected the aircraft. South Korea rounds out the growing list of operators.

With Full Operational Capability established, the KC-390 Millennium is in active production and available as an off-the-shelf platform, offering an affordable, ready-now solution for air forces facing emerging global threats.
