Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence with the announcement of additional Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certifications for the all-new Gulfstream G700. Following the G700’s FAA type certification on March 29, the latest certifications for production and interior signify another milestone in the aircraft’s journey towards customer deliveries and entry into service.
The G700 cabin supplemental type certifications represent a significant step forward, officially approving the interior outfitting of the G700 and its cutting-edge cabin air purification system. Meanwhile, the FAA production certification (PC) underscores Gulfstream’s dedication to compliance with federal aviation regulations, confirming the aircraft’s production processes are aligned with the FAA-approved design.
Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream, expressed pride in the program’s maturity, stating, “Receiving these additional clearances so quickly on the heels of FAA type certification showcases how mature the G700 program is.” He further emphasized the investments made in advanced manufacturing and interior innovations, ensuring operators will benefit from industry-leading quality, fit, and finish.
One of the G700’s standout features is its spacious cabin, offering unparalleled comfort and luxury in the business aviation industry. Equipped with the Gulfstream Cabin Experience, passengers can enjoy 100% fresh air, the lowest cabin altitude, whisper-quiet sound levels, and 20 of the largest windows in the industry, creating an unmatched in-flight environment.
Manufactured at Gulfstream’s Savannah headquarters alongside all ultra-large and large-cabin aircraft, the G700 embodies the pinnacle of aerospace engineering. Leveraging advanced automation, 3D model designs, robotic technologies, and bonding techniques, Gulfstream has achieved unprecedented levels of quality and precision in the production of its next-generation fleet.
Inspired by the belief that aviation could fuel business growth, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. invented the first purpose-built business aircraft, the Gulfstream I, which first flew in 1958. Today, more than 3,000 aircraft are in service around the world. Together with parent company General Dynamics, Gulfstream consistently invests in the future, dedicating resources to researching and developing innovative new aircraft, technologies, and services. With a fleet that includes the super-midsize Gulfstream G280, the high-performing Gulfstream G650 and Gulfstream G650ER, and a next-generation family of aircraft including the award-winning Gulfstream G500 and Gulfstream G600, the flagship Gulfstream G700, and the ultralong-range Gulfstream G800, Gulfstream offers an aircraft for every mission.
