Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam has expanded its partnership with Oriens Aviation, appointing the company as its exclusive dealer for the Netherlands through a newly established local subsidiary, building on five years of collaboration covering the British Isles.
PARTNERSHIP EXTENDED INTO DUTCH MARKET
Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam has announced the expansion of its partnership with Oriens Aviation, which has been the authorised sales and service centre for Tecnam aircraft across the British Isles since 2021. Oriens is establishing a dedicated subsidiary to serve as the exclusive Tecnam dealer for the Netherlands, bringing a locally based operation to a market the manufacturer identifies as dynamic and forward-looking, with strong demand for modern, efficient and environmentally conscious aircraft.
Walter Da Costa, Chief Sales Officer at Tecnam, said Oriens had been a phenomenal partner since its appointment in 2021, with a dedication to premium customer support and a deep understanding of the Tecnam portfolio that had made the company an invaluable part of the manufacturer’s network. He said the Netherlands was a crucial market for Tecnam and that he was confident Oriens would deliver the same level of excellence and commitment to Dutch operators as it had across the UK and Ireland.
TRACK RECORD IN THE BRITISH ISLES
Oriens Aviation has represented Tecnam in the UK and Ireland for five years, demonstrating a commitment to the brand through what Tecnam describes as world-class customer service, expert maintenance and comprehensive aircraft management. The partnership has driven significant growth for Tecnam across the two markets. Through the new Dutch subsidiary, Oriens intends to replicate the full-service approach that has underpinned its success in the British Isles, providing locally responsive support to flight schools and private operators in the Netherlands.
Edwin Brenninkmeyer, Chief Executive of Oriens Aviation, said the company was honoured to expand its representation of Tecnam into the Netherlands. He said five years of experience with the brand had demonstrated how Tecnam’s innovative, fuel-efficient aircraft could transform flight school and private operations, and that establishing a local subsidiary would allow Oriens to bring its full-service model directly to the Dutch market.
AIRCRAFT RANGE AND MARKET FOCUS
Through the new subsidiary, Oriens will offer Dutch customers access to Tecnam’s single and twin-engine piston aircraft, with a focus on two primary market segments. For professional flight training, the range extends from the single-engine P2008JC NG through to the P-Mentor IFR trainer and the multi-engine P2006T, offering academies a range of modern, integrated fleet options. For private ownership, the focus will be on Tecnam’s Gran Lusso and Sport lines.
Oriens Aviation is based at London Biggin Hill Airport and holds EASA Part 145, UK CAA 145 and FAA Repair Station approvals. In addition to its Tecnam representation, Oriens is the authorised Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24 sales and service centre for the British Isles, and became an authorised Cirrus SR2X service centre in 2022.
