AAR LAUNCHES AI-DRIVEN PROCUREMENT PLATFORM FOR AIRLINES AND MROS

AAR launches Airvoyant, an AI-driven procurement platform designed to streamline aircraft parts sourcing for airlines and MROs through automation and integrated supply chain intelligence.

AI-enabled system aims to streamline aircraft parts sourcing and procurement workflows

Aviation services provider AAR CORP. has announced the launch of Airvoyant, an artificial intelligence-driven procurement platform designed to modernise how airlines and maintenance organisations source aircraft parts.

DIGITAL PROCUREMENT PLATFORM

Developed specifically for airlines and MRO environments, Airvoyant connects buyers directly with suppliers, consolidates quotes, and supports purchasing decisions through an integrated digital workflow. The platform is built on Amazon Web Services infrastructure and integrates with Aeroxchange, providing access to a network of more than 5,000 suppliers.

The system also interfaces with enterprise resource planning platforms, including Trax, embedding procurement functionality into existing operational systems.

AI-DRIVEN DECISION SUPPORT

At the core of the platform is an AI-driven architecture that analyses supplier quotes and generates purchasing recommendations based on historical procurement data, including pricing trends, supplier performance, and prior transactions.

This approach is intended to reduce reliance on manual processes such as email-based requests for quotation and manual comparison of supplier responses, which remain common across the industry.

Additional capabilities under development include demand consolidation, vendor optimisation, and automated negotiation functions, extending the system’s role beyond sourcing into broader supply chain decision-making.

INDUSTRY COLLABORATION AND DEPLOYMENT

Airvoyant has been developed with input from operational carriers, including Delta Air Lines and Air Canada, who contributed as subject matter advisors.

Launch partners include Air Europa, Allegiant Air, Atlas Air, JetBlue, Thai Airways, and Virgin Atlantic, providing operational feedback as the platform is introduced into live environments.

SUPPLY CHAIN AND OPERATIONAL IMPACT

Aircraft parts procurement has traditionally relied on fragmented systems and manual workflows. By consolidating supplier access and applying AI-driven analysis, the platform is positioned to improve visibility into lead times, strengthen supply chain planning, and support more consistent procurement decisions.

Airvoyant forms part of AAR’s broader software portfolio, alongside existing platforms, reflecting a continued focus on digital tools to support airline and MRO operations.
