US REQUIRES EBOLA SCREENING FOR TRAVELLERS FROM CENTRAL AFRICA AT DULLES AIRPORT

The United States has introduced mandatory Ebola screening measures at Washington Dulles Airport for travellers arriving from three central African countries.

NEW ENTRY MEASURES TARGET TRAVELLERS FROM THREE AFRICAN COUNTRIES

The United States government has introduced new entry requirements mandating enhanced Ebola screening for travellers arriving from three central African countries as authorities respond to an ongoing outbreak in the region.

Under the directive announced by the Trump administration, all passengers travelling to the United States who have been present in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within 21 days prior to arrival must enter through Washington Dulles International Airport.

HEALTH SCREENING MEASURES

According to the federal directive, the screening requirements came into effect on Thursday and apply to all U.S.-bound travellers meeting the specified travel criteria.

The policy excludes cargo-only flights, airline crew members and aircraft operated by the U.S. War Department.

The move reflects the continued intersection between public health management and international aviation operations, particularly regarding border control procedures and passenger processing during regional disease outbreaks.
